Anne och Krycke

We are a couple with a larger interest in cats than your average person. Our names are Anne and Christopher and we live in a quiet neighbourhood in Uppsala, Sweden (40 minutes trip from Stockholm). We share, among other things, a common interest in books, different kinds of games and computors. We like hanging out with friends, both individually and as a couple, and we enjoy watching a movie or take the cats for a walk together. The biggest difference between us is our preference in season and temperature, Anne would love it to be fall and winter all year around while Christopher prefers sunny summer days.

The interest in animals has always been a great part of our lives and as kids we both had pets. The choice of getting a cat as our pet was never really a question since we both have a passion for cats. The reason we decided to get a Cornish rex was that it was one of the few breeds we could choose from since Anne is allergic to most furry animals. Of course, getting a Cornish rex doesn't guarantee not getting an allergic reaction, but you might be lucky just as we were. Now we are a happy four cat household with a amall scale breeding on the side.

We don't put focus on the quantity of litters but concentrate on creating a safe environment for the litters we choose to have. It is important to us that the kittens grow up to be secure and social individuals and we try to create that by letting them be with us 24 hours a day in an allowing environment. Even if we have few limitations we have clear boundries, something we believe have as big an effect on kittens as it has on children when trying to create confidence. Of course they sleep in our bed when they decide to do so and we usually have company every night. Since they grow accustom to human contact and cuddling from the very day they are born until the day they are big enough to move, they are confident when they arrive in their new homes, something that usually makes it easier if there are already other cats in the house.

In our home we have one queen (Lethe) and three neuters (Isis, Thera and Kyra) who are former queens. Lethe's daughter (Tequila) is also part of the cattery but she is living in a foster home in Stockholm. We hope to have many beautiful and healthy kittens in the future. Health is and will always be our main focus alongside finding loving and caring homes for our kittens!
